The 28-point “peace” plan
(Trump’s) is a big scam for Russia. Kiril Dimitriev is a consummate imbecile to
have drafted it (it’s plain to see he’s stupid from other instances also).
The plan is worse than a
cease-fire, which in essence is. It is, for all intents and purposes, a capitulation.
Here’s why I think this plan is equivalent to a Russian huge defeat, stated by
me previously:
1. As in a ceasefire, Russia
doesn’t gain any recognition. Not even for Crimea.
2. Russia doesn’t win any
territories. It gains a little – the remaining Donetsk, and cedes a lot in
Kharkhiv, Sumy and Dnepopetrovsk. Similar to a ceasefire.
3. Ukraine gets to keep a
huge army, arguably more than it has at the current time.
4. Ukraine has no ban on
re-armament.
5. There wouldn’t be NATO
troops in Ukraine, but American troops are not prohibited. US can station any
troops or armament.
6. Russia doesn’t get back
any of its frozen money. Of that, 100 billion dollars goes to the US to
administer and reap part of the benefits, for reconstruction of Ukraine. Europe
is to add the same amount, implied from the same (Russian) money. The remaining
100 billion dollars again goes to be administered by the US as a mutual fund
for projects involving both Russia and the US (presumably the Alaskan undersea
tunnel).
7. There are precluded only
rocket attacks by Ukraine against Moscow and St Petersburg (?!). Anything else
goes?
8. Most of the points are
ambiguously formulated and no implementation of them is handy or even possible.
9. Russia obtains such
ridiculous things as a re-call to the G8…
10. After fighting cold and
hot wars to keep them afar, the Americans are suddenly on Russia’s doorstep.
